Lawn Turfing Services in Connahs Quay
Installing new turf transforms your garden immediately, providing you with a fully established lawn in just one day rather than waiting months for grass seed to grow. The longevity of your fresh turf relies completely on proper preparation and regular maintenance afterwards.
Lawn Preparation
We start by removing all existing plant growth and clearing away unwanted materials—such as old turf, roots, and stones that could otherwise cause uneven surfaces. The ground needs rotavating to reduce compaction, which is particularly important on newly constructed properties where heavy machinery has compressed the soil.
Adding topsoil often proves necessary. Our goal is achieving 100-150mm depth of quality topsoil, giving grass roots sufficient room to develop properly. Poor quality soil will always result in poor quality lawns, regardless of how good the turf is. We level and grade carefully, creating subtle slopes away from buildings to prevent water pooling.
Before laying turf, the surface receives final raking and light consolidation—firm enough to walk on without footprints forming, but not overly compacted.
In addition to our turfing services in Connahs Quay, we offer complementary solutions for your garden, including artificial grass installations, fence installations and more.
